The Dulaney Lions traveled to Towson High School to play the Generals on Jan 22, 2024, winning 65-56 in their annual matchup.

The Lions closed out their victory with star performances from senior guard Travin Lane with 12 points and 4 rebounds, senior forward Ezra Tull with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 block and senior guard Paul Gross with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks.

Senior forward Elias Dixon Gilbert looks forward to this game each year.

“I was the bench warrior. Meaning like I didn’t get in a lot, but I do like to support my teammates. So I feel like, personally, I’m a great player on the bench…because I just love my team that much,” says Gilbert.

Lane wanted to avenge the loss to the Generals that took the Lions out of the playoffs during the 2023 football season.

According to Lane, the team atmosphere is different before a game against Towson.

“The vibe is way higher. Everybody’s ready with them being a rival, we want to win,” says Lane.

Following this victory, the Lions move on with a record of 9-4 having won 4 of their last 5 games.
