Junior Ty Woodard is in the running to win the National Athlete of the Week award for the week of Sept 19. The survey is conducted by Varsity Views and as of Sept 20, Woodard is taking the lead among the five other athletes from across the country. These athletes, all football players, come from schools in Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, Texas, and Arizona. Woodard was recognized after he led the varsity football team to a win over Catonsville, a team that previously we haven’t beat in 20 years. Woodard broke the school record with seven touchdowns.
