On Dec. 21 at around 10:10 a.m., a glass window in the Dulaney High School (DHS) auditorium lobby was shattered after a student was pushed into it. The broken window was boarded up with a wooden plank and glass fragments cleared off the floor immediately.

Just prior, DHS students were enjoying the first performance of the 2023 winter assembly. Students who witnessed the incident reported seeing a student pushed into the window while exiting the auditorium—it is unclear whether it was intentional or not. Assistant Principal Robert Murray recounts several prior instances where windows were broken at DHS.

“This happens all the time,” says Murray.

The custodial staff have the situation under control and repairs to the window have already begun.
