For every American high school senior one tradition stands out above them all – Prom. After weeks of planning and years of anticipation the night culminates with glamor, dancing, celebrating and enjoying the beginning of the last few weeks together. However, few realize the planning that goes on behind the scenes in the months leading up to prom night, most notably the prom Instagram page: a private account specifically created for the sole purpose of protecting every girl’s dress individuality.

This prom page is a long standing tradition for Dulaney to ensure that there are no identical dresses and that girls can feel special on their memorable night. Beginning with a Facebook page way back when, currently for the class of 2023 the account can be found on instagram under the handle @officialdulaney2023promdresses. To send in a dress, direct message them with a picture and it will be posted as soon as possible. 

There was a previous prom page, however, and people felt this account was not responding in time and needed to be more active. It was replaced by the current account, which is very responsive and ensures that no one has to wait long to see their beautiful dress featured. 

Many dresses have been posted and it is always exciting to see the new posts pop up on the instagram page. It is amazing to see all the girls supporting other girls in their choices of dress even though everyone has a different style. The different designs and colors all demonstrate the variety of people and personalities that makes this graduating class so unique. 

Senior prom this year falls on Friday, May 19th at the marriott waterfront hotel with the theme of great gatsby. It is going to be elegant, classy and a night to remember for all seniors going.  Senior prom is a night to celebrate the success of the graduating class and for the seniors to have a last hoorah together!
