Rising seniors share their expectations

Dulaney High School (DHS) juniors reveal their most anticipated senior year activities.

Fun traditions and events during senior year is something many DHS juniors look forward to. Many rising seniors agree that leaving early is the perk that they are most looking forward to, which gives some students the opportunity for internships in areas of interest. Other students look forward to taking rigorous as well as interest based courses.

Kylie Goldman

”I’m most looking forward to my internship at the Baltimore City Police Department. If I get in, that is what I’m looking most forward to because I want to major in criminal justice and hopefully take that to get a career with the FBI. And the first step to be able to do that is this internship.”

Kimberely Hernandez

”I’m definitely excited because I’ll have a shorter schedule, which gives me a chance to focus on my internship, which is I’m gonna be an internship here at Dulaney for the ESOL program and I’m also gonna be president of several clubs, which I’m so excited about. It gives me a chance to leave something for people, especially my sister gonna be a sophomore. And yeah, I think it’s gonna be a very fun year. I’m taking classes that won’t stress me out and yeah, I’m really looking forward to it.”

Litzy Cos

“I’m looking forward to starting my career as a young adult. I’m going to be doing business later and I’m building up for it, and it’s motivating me for college. Obviously that’s stressful, but it’s also something I’m excited for because I’ll be able to express how I feel and how I am about school in my college essay, which is exciting.”

Michael Carter

“I’m mostly looking forward to not having as many classes. I have four classes. So it’ll be calm, you know, and I got weight training”

Gunnar Armstrong

“Definitely taking more AP classes to try to get my college credit out of the way.”

Scarlett Krafft

“The flexibility with classes and being able to take less classes and have more free time to take classes at CCBC or do an internship.”

Dylan McCready

“I’m looking forward to the classes I’m taking and a possible internship that I’m doing.”

Naylani Ulloa
