The yearbook staff uses creativity to capture highlights throughout the school year. The class, taught by Kristi Korrow, decided on “retro” for this year’s theme.

“It is not a typical theme that is word-driven; it’s really driven this year by style and design. We actually looked back at yearbooks from the 70s to get some inspiration,”  said Korrow.

The class follows a set schedule depending on what part of the yearbook the student works on.

“Essentially they are coming to work for the day, they come in, we might have a little meeting about what needs to get done, what events are coming up, and then students will typically go about doing the next phase they are on,” said Korrow.

Many students enjoy this class because of the creativity involved. Students collaborate to decide what designs, fonts, colors and elements go in the final product.

“It’s cool to see students coming together and by the end of the thing they produce a book,” said Korrow.

Students interested in pre-ordering a yearbook, have until February 16. Unlike previous years, students will receive their yearbooks before the end of the year.
