Inspired by AP Psychology, juniors Andrew Polite, Cole Sheldon, and other officers created a new psychology club at Dulaney High School (DHS).

Psychology club does not exclusively focus on the mental health category of psychology, but rather research. President Polite and Vice President Sheldon cover topics in line with the AP Psychology curriculum.

Meetings are commonly composed of a mini-lesson and end with a game of Kahoot!, to reinforce what was learned.

Aside from bi-weekly meetings on Thursdays, the psychology club is implementing a tutoring program for AP Psychology on Wednesdays during LEAD.

“We help people if they need any help specifically with psychology stuff, so it’s mainly like AP psych but it can be for honors or ab[normal] psych…we do review sessions on whatever unit they’re on and stuff like that,” says Polite.

Currently, plans are being made to collaborate with other clubs, like Dulaney’s One Love club, to expand the group of students who join psychology club.

Senior Natasha Aragon is a third-year staff writer and web editor. Aragon’s interests have not changed as she still enjoys watching anime, reading manga and watching gamer videos. However, she’s obsessed with contemporary romance and her boyfriend (which is obvious because she is constantly holding hands with “the academic weapon” in the halls).
