Instantly going viral, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship is what many are talking about. While Swift travels the world on her record-breaking tour, Kelce’s football career is soaring as one of the best tight ends in the National Football League (NFL). Dulaney students share their thoughts on the celebrity couple.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship became public in July 2023 when the NFL star was spotted attending an Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs. 

With Kelce’s sports fan base and Swift’s musical following, the two have been getting love from many of each other’s fans.

“Yeah I ship Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, I think they look cute together. It’s made me pay attention to football. Before, I had no idea Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were on the same team,” said sophomore Mia Christopher.

Kelce has been playing for the Kansas City Chiefs since he was drafted in 2013. He has won two Super Bowls in his 11 seasons with the Chiefs. Kelce’s involvement with Swift made some of his fans rethink their opinion of her music.

“When Taylor Swift came about, his appearances on TV and social media increased and it influenced me to begin listening to her music. Prior to listening to her music, I only knew of a few of her songs and didn’t really like her. Now that I’ve listened to her I began to enjoy her music more and I actually have a few of her songs on my playlist,” said senior D’Mitri Peele. 

This celebrity relationship is still going strong. Both have been seen supporting each other at their respective events.
