Dulaney High School students can learn to play chess every wednesday in room 320 after school while experienced players can hone their skills under supervisor Henry McVeigh.

All skill levels are accepted, chess club is flexible allowing students to attend when they’re available.

“There [are] people in the club of all levels so if you’re a brand-new beginner you can still find a good game, you’re not gonna get crushed by people with a lot of experience,” said McVeigh.

According to McVeigh chess gives you logical and procedural thinking practice for putting cohesive strategies into operation in turn possibly providing academic benefits.
