Will you be my Valentine?

Valentine’s day is the perfect day to show love and appreciation to people in your life, whether that be a significant other, friend or yourself. There are numerous activities you can spend your Valentine’s Day doing and a variety of gift options for all the people you care about.

Dulaney junior Aine Heron, says she is spending the weekend before Valentine’s Day with her boyfriend, Gavin Else,  also doubling as their anniversary. They came up with a fun plan for the weekend to spend quality time together. 

Heron says, “We are each planning something fun to do outside of the house, and each planning something fun to do inside the house.”  

But, what if you don’t have a significant other to spend Valentine’s Day with? Here are some ideas on how you should spend this romantic holiday and enjoy it. You could have a self-care night and watch your favorite rom-com. Or you could bake your favorite dessert while listening to music. 

When asked how they were spending the day without a significant other, many Dulaney students answered in their interview that they would spend it watching a rom com with their friends or hanging out with people they care about. Whether you have a significant other in your life or not, Valentine’s Day is about showing your love for the people you care about.
