Miriam Talalay Senior Spread

If you’re looking to adopt a dog or cat, visit Dulaney senior Miriam Talalay! Talalay has been fostering animals with her parents since she was around 10 years old, in fifth grade.

It was Talalay’s love for animals that originally got her into fostering. When asked about her love for animals, she said, “It’s always been in my family. My mom, father, and grandparents all love animals. I definitely inherited that from them.”

Her favorite part of fostering is getting the chance to watch the progression of an animal from a shy or sick animal to a thriving pet that’s ready to be adopted. Aside from taking care of furry friends, Talalay can also be found as an officer for the Environmental Issues Club and Horticulture Club. She is going to college at the University of Maine, majoring in zoology, where she can further prepare for an animal based occupation. Talalay is excited to see what the future holds for her and passion for helping animals in need.
