Milana Klopouh has always had a passion for volunteer work, which is why she joined the National English Honor Society (NEHS) in her sophomore year. Since then, she has participated in a variety of events from fundraisers to artistic projects. Klopouh also ran for president in her junior year to get more involved in NEHS and has held this position for the past two years.

“I love my role because I get to work with so many people and express my creative side when planning events. It’s really fulfilling to see projects come to life, especially when we’ve put a lot of effort into it,” said Klopouh.

Klopouh’s largest project to date has been creating a mural on the first floor lockers. The mural represents a person trying to break free from their mask to speak their truth through poems – an ode to the difficulties many students faced during the pandemic.

Through her hard work, Klopouh has fostered a community of hardworking, creative and driven students.
