Maine Woman Arrested in Cornish After Investigators Seize Cocaine, Hydrocodone Pills, Three Firearms and Suspected Drug Money From Main Street Home

CORNISH, ME — A Maine woman is facing trafficking charges after state drug agents say they found cocaine, diverted prescription pills and several guns inside a Cornish home. The arrest came after a months-long investigation into suspected drug dealing on Main Street.

Authorities say the case centered on a residence where undercover purchases of crack cocaine were made before agents moved in with a search warrant on Thursday. Adele Rogers, 52, of Cornish, was taken into custody at the home without incident.

She is being held at the York County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Months of undercover work led agents to the Main Street house

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said the investigation had been running for several months before the search. Agents were looking into what they described as a suspected drug trafficking organization operating in Cornish.

According to the agency, undercover purchases of crack cocaine were made from the Main Street home during the investigation. Those buys helped support the warrant that was later executed at the residence.

The search involved help from the Maine State Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Officials have not identified anyone else charged in the case, but they said the probe is still active.

What investigators say they found inside the residence

During the search, agents seized 49.5 grams of cocaine, hydrocodone pills, three firearms and $1,760 in suspected drug proceeds. The Maine DEA said the drugs had an estimated street value of about $5,000.

Those items formed the basis for the criminal case now moving forward against Rogers. She has been charged with four counts of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs.

Authorities did not say whether the firearms were believed to be connected to the alleged trafficking activity, only that they were among the items removed from the home.

Rogers faces four aggravated trafficking charges

Rogers, who lives in Cornish, was arrested after the search and transported into custody without a reported struggle. The Maine DEA said she was charged the same day with four counts of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs.

The agency has not publicly detailed the specific count breakdown, but the charge indicates prosecutors are treating the case as serious drug trafficking rather than a simple possession matter. Her bail was set at $50,000 in York County Jail.

No court outcome has been announced, and the investigation remains open.

Officials say more arrests are expected as the case continues

The Maine DEA said the Cornish investigation is not finished and that additional arrests are expected. That suggests agents believe the Main Street case may connect to a larger network beyond the home where the search occurred.

For now, investigators are asking anyone with information about the case or illegal drug sales in their community to contact the nearest Maine DEA office, call the agency’s tip line at 1-800-452-6457 or text MDEA to 847411.

The agency also pointed people struggling with substance use disorder to 211 or to text their ZIP code to 898211 for local resource information.

How the agency is steering people toward help and tips

Along with the enforcement side of the operation, the Maine DEA used the announcement to highlight public reporting tools and treatment information. The tip line and text option are meant to help residents share information about suspected drug activity anonymously or quickly.

It also urged people dealing with substance use disorder to reach out for support through 211 or the text-based resource system. The agency did not tie that advice to Rogers specifically, but included it as part of the case update.

The combination of arrests, seized drugs and guns marks one more example of how investigators say they are targeting trafficking from neighborhood homes as the Cornish case moves ahead.
