Dulaney High School (DHS) junior Kimberely Hernandez is running for Baltimore County Public School’s (BCPS) Student Member of the Board (SMOB). Hernandez was announced as one of two 2024-2025 SMOB finalists in the entire county on Jan. 29. She encourages BCPS students to cast their vote today as the SMOB campaign comes to a close.

Hernandez wants all BCPS students to take advantage of their opportunity to vote, regardless of their choice of candidate. She believes it is of utmost importance for students to use their voices.

“I am not doing this for me, but for our future doctors, lawyers, teachers, mechanics and anything else our amazing BCPS students want to be one day,” says Hernandez.
