Students and teachers show their support of the LGBTQ+ community

Today is June 1st, the official start of Pride Month. Dulaney High School students and faculty members are showcasing their pride and allyship with the LGBTQ+ community by wearing clothing, accessories, makeup and more. We hope to see this pattern continue to grow throughout the month in celebration and acceptance of diversity at Dulaney.

Pride Month began officially in June of 1999 to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a series of protests by the gay community. The tradition has since spread outside of the United States, inspiring pride and change along the way. It is important now more than ever due to the increasingly harmful laws and policies against LGBTQ+ communities.
