After conquering the 4A West Division, Dulaney varsity cheer placed fifth at the regional cheerleading championship held at Harford Community College on Wednesday Feb.8.

Varsity coach, Kim Bettencourt says, “The girls had a great performance, and left it all on the mat, hitting all of their stunts.”

During the competition, nerves shook as they waited to compete against teams from several counties around Maryland. However, their worries were baseless as cheerleader Kerrie Bynum says, “We are all so happy with the routine we put up on the mat, and hard work we put into this season!”

The team scored a 98.7 at their second regional competition over the last decade.

With the spring season right around the corner, the team hopes to start off strong, having high hopes for the future.
