LOUISIANA — An Extreme Heat Warning covers essentially all of Louisiana today, along with portions of neighboring Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi, as dangerously hot conditions grip the broader Gulf Coast region. The warning stretches from Shreveport through New Orleans, covering the entire state from top to bottom. Surrounding areas, including Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Fort Worth, remain under a Heat Advisory as high heat continues to expand across the South.
Extreme Heat Warning Covers the Entire State of Louisiana
The Extreme Heat Warning zone extends across all of Louisiana, including Shreveport, Jackson, and New Orleans, marking one of the most widespread extreme heat warnings of the season so far.
Portions of eastern Texas and southern Arkansas are also included within the warning zone, extending the most dangerous heat risk well beyond Louisiana’s borders.
Surrounding States Remain Under a Broader Heat Advisory
Areas surrounding the extreme heat zone, including Oklahoma City, Little Rock, and Memphis, remain under a Heat Advisory, reflecting slightly less extreme but still dangerous conditions.
