Dulaney Key Club sweeps the awards at District Convention

Dulaney Key Club attended the Capital District Key Club Convention in Arlington, VA from March 24-26. Members of Dulaney Key Club attended the convention and participated in workshops throughout the weekend. 

Key Club is the largest high school service organization in the U.S. and is sponsored by Kiwanis International. This year, Dulaney Key Club is advised by Dulaney teacher Matthew Lovett and guidance counselor Katie Owens.

Dulaney Key Club received the following awards at the Convention.

Key Club of the Year

First Place-Platinum for Single Service Award

First Place for Club Video Contest

First Place for Year in Review Traditional Scrapbook Award

Honorable Mention for Major Emphasis Award

Honorable Mention for the Digital Poster Contest

 

Students Recognized:

Aaron Ren: 1st place for the Oratory Contest

Khizar Qazi: Above and Beyond Member Award

Riya Mahale: Outstanding Lt. Governor Recognition

Takara Wilson: Outstanding Club Treasurer

Erica Wang: Outstanding Club President

Michelle Wang: Earned the Capital Matching Scholarship

 

Lastly, Matthew Lovett was awarded District Advisor of the Year.
