Advanced Placement English teacher Deborah Hamilton’s classroom, room 306, is home to a collection of giraffe figurines.

Hamilton reminisced to her childhood story telling as the main reason she collects giraffes.

“Well, I wrote a short story in elementary school about a giraffe, his name was Sheldor, and I don’t remember much about elementary school but I remember that. I’ve always liked giraffes and orange is my favorite color so that might have something to do with it,” Hamilton said.
